Windows PC app doesn't run

Hi

I have the windows application that i downloaded and installed. It seems to install successfully. When i attempt to run it, nothing seems to happened. In the task manager i can see the process is running, but the is no visible application that is running.

Is there a list of required application to run the software?
Have others experienced the issue?

so the software version is the one that was released on 10/08/2015.
I have just downloaded it over the weekend from here:
http://www.lg.com/au/support-product/lg-HS6-LAS650M
on the software update tab.

I am currently running Windows 10.
I was running windows 7 previously and the same thing happened to me on 7.
After i rebuilt the PC (was due for software re-install anyway) it seemed to work?

The application seems to install fine, and then opening it runs the task, but i get no visual.
My Windows 10 install is pretty fresh, with windows 7 being a fresh install and then instantly having a windows 10 update applied over it.

At work currently so please advise if you want the exact version through the software

From the task manager, you should be able to see following three processes are running: MusicFlow.exe, MusicFlowDMS.exe, MusicFlowTray.exe.

If the internet is not connected, the application will appear late since the version check. The timeout will take 30 seconds.

If problem persists, please uninstall the S/W and install again.

the only app i see is MusicFlow.exe
I have uninstalled the app, rebooted the pc and installed once again.
Again all i see is MusicFlow.exe and not other music flow application running.

are there any dependencies?
it have been running on its own for about 20 minutes now and nothing else has popped up.
Any suggestions?

Do you have a list of other application dependencies?
.net or java for example?

I am very sorry, but this case is very unusual.
We don't require any other software to be installed to run our S/W.

I will check if there is a way to get a failure log if you agree to participate.

This has happened to me twice, both times after completing a fresh install on windows.

Hi This has happened to me also.

Was working a week ago and now wont run. Have deleted and reinstalled and same thing.

If it was running in the first instance maybe do windows state restore to previous restore point of before the issues started.
That would be the first thing i would do if it was working previously.

After the engineer examined the log, he found that your windows does not have either windows media player nor media pack installed.

That makes perfect sense. Installed the media pack, uninstalled music flow restarted and installed and working first go.

Hi.

I am also having a similar problem. I have recently installed Windows 10 on my laptop. Previously the Music Flow Windows app worked on Windows 7. After installations of Win 10, I reset the system to get a clean-ish install. On reinstalling Music Flow, it seems to install ok then asks for me to update. I allow the update, and then.... nothing. The Music Flow icon appears in the tray but disappears if the mouse pointer goes near it. Re-booting does not help. I have installed updates for Windows 10, and after reading this thread, installed the Media Pack then un-installed and reinstalled Music Flow to the same effect.

I realise that nowhere states the Music Flow software works with Windows 10, but would like to not have to go back to Windows 7 (especially now that I cannot roll back as I reset to factory settings!). Any help would be appreciated.

It finally updated - after a year! Still had a few errors and problems unzipping (reported not enough storage space even though there's about half a TB free) but after a couple of clicks it seemed to work and the updated software runs.
