Does anyone use MusicFlow speakers in the bathroom? I know that it is not recommended by LG but maybe anyone does it and has some feedback.

Re: MusicFlow speakers in bathroom?

Agree, would be nice to have either an in-wall option or a somewhat waterproof one

Re: MusicFlow speakers in bathroom?

For me it would be interesting if someone uses the H3/H5H7 in bathroom with or without any problems.... I can place the speakers on a spot where they will not be in contact with water but the steam maybe a problem. Or not? Any experiences?

Re: MusicFlow speakers in bathroom?

I have a H3 in my bathroom for two months now. No problems so far, but I also have a big window there to let the steam out after I shower.

Re: MusicFlow speakers in bathroom?

Would the H4 be more suitable? Who has power outlets in the bathroom, apart from shaver sockets...

I'd love to persuade LG to produce a portable speaker with docking station and water resistant IP rating... Would be great for lots of scenarios, including bathroom

Re: MusicFlow speakers in bathroom?

I have an H4 in my bathroom. My bathroom is very very small and the H4 is more than enough speaker to hear over top of the running shower and space heater. I had my landlord put in another electrical outlet specifically so I could set the speaker on a small shelf above the towel rack and plug it in where I wanted to mount it, because like you said, I only had an outlet by the sink for shavers and blow dryers. Now I have another set next to my speaker. It's done great so far.

Speakers and electronics are designed to handle a certain degree of moisture. They put this kind of stuff in cars and that's one of the most harsh environments there are for electronics. Heat, cold, condensation from heating and cooling, dust, dirt, moisture from rain, vibration, cigarette smoke and on and on. A little steam won't hurt.

I made my bathroom new, so I have 5 free power outlets around my mirror. ;) You can never have enough power outlets. smiling

Re: MusicFlow speakers in bathroom?

I've been using my H4 Portable in the bathroom for over a month without issue. It is also one of the speakers furthest away from the R1 Bridge, but I often connect it to a H5 or H3 in a group when I listen to it.

Re: MusicFlow speakers in bathroom?

I have a H3 in the bathroom. No problems so far but it is quite well ventelated so no condensation builds up when showering and also I have a dehumidifier in there to keep it dry.

Re: MusicFlow speakers in bathroom?

I bought these for my bathroom as they have built in humidity resistance. https://www.amazon.com/Raumfeld-Wireless-Streaming-Speaker-Black/dp/B00ZV3BAHS

Now that LG has multiroom support, all works well together
